They showed genuine enthusiasm for the menu we proposed, and helped us refine it to be something that would work amazingly well on the day. They had a fantastic selection of canapes to choose from and great ideas for post-wedding evening food, and were always incredibly flexible to any specific requests we had. If we’d needed it they have an extensive and diverse set of offerings of both canapes and wedding breakfast menus, but seem to genuinely thrive on personalising each menu for the people celebrating. They achieved everything we asked for and more. Everyone we spoke to after the wedding commented on just how amazing the wedding food was – and it was worlds away from the often predictable options served at weddings. Genuinely cannot recommend them enough. We’re considering a divorce so we can remarry and have them cater a 2nd wedding.

I couldn’t be more pleased with Alice & the team at Homegrown Hospitality, and the level of service they provided for our wedding was worth every penny. From the initial phone call to discuss options, right through to the day of the wedding nothing was too much trouble. Alice was happy to discuss and make changes to the menu as often as needed and was so accommodating with lots of (very tricky!) dietary requests. On the day, the team were so accommodating and made sure to track my husband and me down and make sure we both got to enjoy plenty of the canapés in-between photos and chatting with guests, which we were very grateful for! Many, many guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The sharing boards were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The sharing style really got guests talking and complemented the relaxed atmosphere of the day that we wanted. I can’t recommend Alice and the rest of the team highly enough!!

Ruth Saxton – Eureka! The National Children’s Museum’s 25th Birthday Celebrations September 2017
Alice and team catered a gala party for Eureka! The National Children’s Museum. The food was absolutely delicious and the service faultless.
We loved working with them. From the very beginning, they ensured every aspect of the catering was tailored to our needs, including the table decoration and crockery – we really appreciated this attention to detail. Alice was always on hand to answer any questions or make slight changes to plans.
As for the food…all we heard were rave reviews!! Our guests loved the informality of the grazing stations and being able to sample multiple dishes…it’s always so hard to choose what you want when it all looks so mouthwatering. The presentation was sensational.
On the night, their staff were friendly and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. It was great to be able to relax and know everything was in safe hands.
They def went the extra mile for us and we look forward to working with them again in the future.

“Without a doubt out wedding was the best, most amazing day of our lives. We wouldn’t have changed a thing.
A huge part of this is down to Alice & Martin and their team at Homegrown Hog Roast. From the moment we got in touch with them we knew we didn’t have to look any further. Alice listened to our vision of the day, understanding totally our requirements and worked it all confidently into the plan. Our guests raved about the food – the Hog Roast wedding feast and the Ploughman’s Supper went down an absolute storm. Not to mention the Pimms reception and canapés! It was reassuring to know that all the food was sourced locally and mostly from suppliers whom Alice and Martin know personally.
Hosting the wedding at home was no mean feat for us as a family, as we had never come close to organising anything on such a big and ambitious scale. Martin and Alice were a complete god-send. They gave my dad advice whenever he asked – this was hugely reassuring, and greatly helped reduce stress levels! Alice allowed us to completely relax on the day, with nothing to worry about except enjoying ourselves!
Throughout our six month wedding planning journey there were many times when we thanked our lucky stars that we had chanced upon Homegrown Hog Roast; absolutely worth their weight in gold. Because we were so impressed, Alice and Martin were also booked for my dad’s 60th birthday BBQ – that was a great success as well!
